Week two - Places (part 2)

Here's part two of the assignment. Luna Park - Jaidyn has been there quite a few times before with my mum and dad, but I have never taken either of the kids. We all had a great time. Tiana loved the slides in Coney Island, and Jaidyn was desperate to get on the ferris wheel, but once we were on it couldn't stop worrying that our carriage was going to break off and fall in the water. This did nothing for my nerves, as I am not at all fond of heights or the ferris wheel! Unfortunately it was dark by the time we got on both rides, so wasn't able to get any decent shots. The next afternoon we went down to Rouse Hill Regional Park, beautiful spot for photo's, I'm going back there for sure for more practice.

Gotta love the Luna Park face. I was so preoccupied with getting a shot of it, that I didn't realise that I had missed a great opportunity to capture my two kids (see Jaidyn's face, bottom left)

Here they are, had to quickly snap them before I lost the moment. (although now that I look closer, I think that Tiana might actually be trying to push Jaidyn away!) Must learn to be faster
...and more observant!

They both loved these mirrors, especially Tiana.

Clowns, Jaidyn won some fluffy dice

and Tiana won a fluffy white dog, that she now has to take to bed with her.

These are some seriously freaky faces, there was no way Tiana was getting near these!

A lovely passer by offered to take a photo for us.
Why does Chris always pull this ridiculous face in photos?

Rouse Hill Regional Park. 5 minutes from our house. Should go more often.

Jaiydn has some strange sun flare happening on his forehead, but I still love it.

I really wish I had her eyelashes xo

Haha, Tiana thought it was best that we didn't show her dads face!

Next up, Week three - things. Haven't even started this yet, and I'm already a week behind!!

Week 2 - Places (Part one)

I now think I should have called this blog "Women Interrupted"...I feel like I can never concentrate on one task and complete it without being called elsewhere, even emptying the dishwasher takes me half an hour on some days! I suppose that is all part of being a mum to young kids. I really should cherish it while it lasts, instead of wishing they would grow faster and become just a little more independent.

This week we had to photograph our kids in their places, and places they had been over the week...

Here's part one to the week....at home, soccer and Tiana at Fagan Park. Not too pleased with my sports photography skills, I'll have to get out there more often and practise!

Jaidyn thought he was a legend kicking this one!

A race for the ball

Half time refreshments

The local fans!!!

This one was out by the pool, one of my favs, if it wasn't for the fence behind her
suppose I could photoshop, but I'm too lazy!

Jumping on my bed, and looking through her bedroom window

Jaidyn, just hanging out in his Dinosaur themed room. Just realised he is also wearing a dinosaur shirt!

Tiana, checking out her competition in the sandpit.

Hopefully I'll get part two up tomorrow sometime :)

Week one - People

Finding the Joy - Week one - people: capture 20 shots of your children with the most important people in their lives.

So here are my first lot of photos from the assignment. They didn't turn out exactly as I had planned, but it's a start. We had Tam and Kaelie over for a play on Sunday and so I used this opportunity to get some shots. I also missed out on getting shots with their beloved Grandma and Grandpop. They are two very important and much loved people in Jaidyn and Tiana's lives. I’m hoping once they are back from their farm that I can fill in this gap.

You may also notice one other very important person in their lives missing….lol , “get a shot with yourself and your children”…just haven’t got around to that one yet!

My Jaidyn and Tiana xoxo

With Dad, we all had to put our beanies on so Tiana would wear her new one!!
Gotta love this face, such a typical Tiana face!

Daddy and kids xo

At last, a nice natural looking smile xo

Didn't last long, look what I have to deal with, geez :-P
(lol, Tiana trying to cross her eyes)

Ok, I get it, you can cross your eyes!!

The Cousins arrive - Tam and Jaidyn, enjoying a book together

The gorgeous Mikaela.
Tiana couldn't stop calling out her name after she went home!!

Hanging out with the teddies.
Tiana with Heyya, she can't go anywhere without him.

Jaidyn and Mikeala holding hands and Tam.

I love that they are holding hands here, completely candid moment xo

Miss M with the boys.
They had stopped at a bridge to look at the creek underneath.

Poor Tiana, being the littlest is too hard, always left behind!

Dad will help me catch up!

Tam

The boys at the park

Together with the DS. They were so engrossed in the game,
they had no idea I was in the room!

Back home and time to dress up!

The two beautiful girls xo
As usual can't decide if I like colour or the sepia conversion best,
so here they all are.
